Find Buddha: walk into a temple

The door is open.

You don't have to know how to do this. Nobody in there was born knowing. Walk in with us.

Nobody is checking.

Light a stick of incense if you want to. Or don't. The smoke is a way of saying you came.

The great hall 大雄寶殿

Every lamp in here was lit by someone, for someone.

Bow if you like.

It doesn't mean worship. It means: thank you, I'm listening.

One lamp is unlit.

People light one here for someone they are thinking of. You can too. It costs nothing and it counts.

You lit a lamp.

It stays lit. If you'd like to tell someone who it was for, or ask what any of this means, there is a grandma who will answer plainly.
