Find Buddha: visit Guan Yin's temple on a bright morning

It's morning, and the door is open.

This is a Guan Yin temple. Nothing is asked of you here. Walk in with us.

Someone swept the yard already.

The incense burner is for anyone. Three sticks, or none. The smoke is a way of saying you came.

Guan Yin 觀世音菩薩

The one who hears the cries of the world. Probably the figure from your grandmother's shelf, full size, in daylight.

You can just stand here.

People tell her the thing they can't say to anyone. In their own words, in their own head. Nothing formal is required.

A bowl of water, and room for a flower.

People leave a lotus here for someone they are thinking of. You can too. It costs nothing and it counts.

You left a lotus.

It stays. If you'd like to say who it was for, or ask what any of this means, there is a grandma who will answer plainly.
